Privacy Policy

Under the GDPR (EU) 2016/679 · Last updated: October 26, 2026 · Deutsch

This is an English translation. In case of doubt, the German version is authoritative.

1. Controller

Name: Felix Kamm
Email: mail@mint-lernstudio.de

2. Core principle

Prompterly works without a server of its own. There is no user account, no analytics or tracking SDK, no advertising and no sharing of data with third parties. Felix Kamm as the developer receives no data from the app, neither your scripts nor your voice.

3. What data the app processes and why

DataPurposeWhere it is processed
MicrophoneDetecting where in the script you are speaking so the text follows alongOn the device only. Audio is neither stored nor transmitted.
Speech recognitionTurning spoken words into text to match them against the scriptOn the device only (Apple SpeechAnalyzer). iOS downloads the language model from Apple once; no recordings are transmitted.
ScriptsThe text the prompter showsDepending on your choice in the settings: on the device only, in a folder of the Files app (e.g. iCloud Drive, Google Drive) or on a WebDAV server you specify
WebDAV credentialsSigning in to your own WebDAV serverAddress and user name in the app settings, the password in the iOS Keychain, both on the device only
Local networkConnecting a second device as a remoteOnly between your devices on the same network. The connection is encrypted with the code shown. Other devices on the network can see the prompter's device name while it is open.
SettingsFont size, pace, mirroring, language, storage locationOn the device only

iOS asks for microphone, speech recognition and local network access separately. You can revoke each of them at any time in the iOS Settings. Without the microphone the text scrolls at a fixed pace; without local network access only the remote is unavailable.

4. Where scripts go

Prompterly sends nothing to servers of Felix Kamm. Scripts leave the device only in ways you set up yourself:

  1. Folder in the Files app. If you choose a folder of a cloud provider (e.g. iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Synology Drive), that provider's app syncs the files. That provider's privacy policy applies.
  2. WebDAV. If you enter a WebDAV server, Prompterly loads scripts directly from and to it. The server is run by you or your provider.
  3. Remote. The controlling device receives the text of the open script so it can display it. The transfer stays on the local network and is encrypted.
  4. Import. Files you import are read once and saved as a script. The original file stays unchanged.

5. Deleting data

Delete scripts in the app with a swipe or directly in the chosen folder. Uninstalling removes all scripts stored only on the device as well as the settings. Scripts in a cloud folder or on your WebDAV server stay there until you delete them.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. As all data lives on your devices or at a storage location of your choice, you can exercise these rights directly yourself. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
