Frequently asked questions

Liveglas can't find the camera over Wi-Fi.

On the camera: Network → PC Remote → On, connection type Wi-Fi Direct. Then join the camera's Wi-Fi (name starts with DIRECT-) on your iPhone or iPad, either via QR code in Liveglas or in the iOS settings. Allow Liveglas to access the local network when iOS asks.

No image over USB-C.

When you plug in, the camera asks what to do. For live view with control choose “PC Remote” and tap “Connect via USB-C cable” in Liveglas. For live view only at full resolution choose “USB Streaming” and “Live view only via USB-C”. The first time, iOS asks for access to cameras — please allow it.

The image drops out or stutters.

Liveglas reconnects by itself; the status pill at the top shows how old the image is. Many networks nearby disturb the camera's radio — move closer or use the cable. Under “Log and measurements” you can share a report; feel free to send it to me.

The image looks flat and grey.

The camera is shooting S-Log3. Tap “LUT” at the bottom and choose “S-Log3 → Rec.709” or your own .cube LUT.

White balance from a card says “Too bright”.

A white card must not clip. Expose a little lower or use a grey card; Liveglas only needs the ratio of the colours.

Which cameras work?

Sony cameras with “PC Remote”. Tested with the a6700. If your model does not work, send me the report from “Log and measurements”.
